The durable waterproof housing allows photographers to explore depths of up to 15 metres.

Designed for environments where conditions are tough and wet, like kayaking or mountain climbing, the WG-1000 from Pentax surpasses ordinary smartphones in durability. Its robust all-weather housing is waterproof to 15 metres (JIS Class 8) and is built to function continuously for an hour. The camera's compact form is dust-proof (JIS Class 6) against grime and stains and can withstand falls from up to two metres.

Additionally, the WG-1000 can be sanitised using specific solvents containing ethanol, sodium hypochlorite (approved as a food disinfectant), or chlorine dioxide, which makes it suitable for use in healthcare settings or on construction sites.
