The RF 24-50mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM is a retractable kit zoom that will be bundled with the EOS R8.
The 24-50mm retracts down 58mm (3.1") long and expands to 86mm (3.4") at the telephoto end. It's 70mm in diameter and it takes a 58mm filter. There's an AF/MF switch on the side, with a second switch for its stabilizer function. Other than this, there's a zoom ring and a manual focus ring. A plastic mount on the back of the lens keeps the weight down to 210g (7.4oz), making clear Canon's efforts to deliver a compact, lightweight full-frame lens/camera system, with the relatively slow maximum aperture being the other obvious limitation.
